Bob Geren interviewed to be next Dodgers manager

The Dodgers have interviewed Mets bench coach Bob Geren as they continue their search for a new manager, according to Newsday reporter Marc Carig (Nov. 8, 2015).

Los Angeles has also interviewed Gabe Kapler, Dave Roberts and Darin Erstad, and plan to soon meet with Bud Black.

Geren, 54, managed the Athletics from 2007 to 2011, during which Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi was an assistant to Billy Beane. Geren joined Terry Collins’s bench after the 2011 season.

The Dodgers have been searching for a new manager after parting ways with Don Mattingly, who has since joined the Marlins.
