In case you missed it on Monday…

Matt Harvey’s right triceps is sore and swollen after getting struck by a line drive during his start on Saturday in Game 1 of the NLCS. However, Harvey threw on Monday and said he would be find to start Game 5 (if necessary).

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said it’s unlikely that LHP Jon Lester will start Game 4 of the NLCS. Instead, RHP Jason Hammel is expected to get the start.

Jon Niese attended his grandmother’s wake in Ohio on Monday and will attend the funeral on Tuesday before driving to Chicago to meet the team.

After the regular season, Matt Harvey‘s agent, Scott Boras, purchased insurance on Harvey’s arm.

What’s on tap for Game 3

The Mets and Cubs play Game 3 of the NLCS at Wrigley Field on Tuesday at 8:07 pm ET.

RHP Jacob deGrom gets the start for the Mets, opposed by RHP Kyle Hendricks for Chicago.
