Matt Harvey allowed two runs in 7 2/3 innings in Game 1 and Noah Syndergaard allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings in Game 2 as the Mets took a two games to none lead over the Cubs in the NLCS over the weekend at Citi Field.
Juan Uribe, who has been dealing with a chest injury, took batting practice and fielded grounders over the weekend, and could be ready for the World Series should the Mets advance.
Jacob deGrom will start Game 3 of the NLCS for the Mets, followed by Steven Matz in Game 4.
The Mets added LHP Sean Gilmartin to the NLCS roster in place of RHP Erik Goeddel.
What’s on tap for Game 3
The Mets and Cubs are off on Monday. However, Jacob deGrom and Terry Collins will address reporters at Wrigley Field around 3:30 pm ET.
Game 3 of the NLCS will be Tuesday in Chicago, when deGrom will start against RHP Kyle Hendricks at 8:07 p.m. ET.
