Matt Harvey will be the Mets’ starting pitcher for Game 1 of the World Series, manager Terry Collins said at a press conference Saturday.
Harvey will pitch Game 1, Jacob deGrom Game 2, Noah Syndergaard Game 3 and Steven Matz Game 4.
If necessary, Harvey would start Game 5, deGrom Game 6 and Syndergaard Game 7, though Collins added Harvey would be available out of the bullpen in a potential Game 7.
