The Mets will have 11 players eligible for salary arbitration this offseason, including closer Jeurys Familia.
MLB Trade Rumors projects Familia, who earned $614,625 this past season and won’t be eligible for free agency until 2019, will earn $3.3 million through arbitration next year (Oct. 6, 2015).
Similarly, the award-winning team at Pace Law School determined that Familia can expect to earn slightly more, $3.8 million, because of superior platform year and contributions to his team’s World Series run (Nov. 19, 2015).
Familia did not blow a save through the final two months of the regular season. However, he went on to became the first player in history to blow three saves in the World Series.
