The Mets have signed infielder Ty Kelly to a minor league contract with an invite to Spring Training.
Kelly, 27, played in Triple-A level for two different organizations in 2015. He began the season with the Cardinals, hitting .203 in 227 at bats. He was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jays in July and spent the remainder of the season with Triple-A Buffalo where he hit .264 (38-144) with four doubles, one home run and 12 RBI.
He originally drafted by the Orioles in the 13th round during 2009.
