The Mets will play their first spring training game in 2016 on Wednesday, March 4, against the Braves in Orlando (Nov. 14, 2015).
They play the Yankees in Port St. Lucie on Sunday, March 22. The two teams will meet a second time in Tampa on Wednesday, March 25.
The Mets will play 31 Grapefruit League games, 16 of which are against the Marlins, Braves and Nationals.

The team has yet to announce when pitchers and catchers must report. However, based on the above and what others teams have announced, I’m guessing it will be around Feb. 17-19, with position players come in around Feb. 23 or so.
By the way, I love spring training, but the lack of teams to play is my least favorite part. They basically play the same seven teams for a month, with the occasional break to meet the Rays, Red Sox and Yankees. It’s so monotonous…
