I like that Uribe is on the roster, especially since rookie infielder Matt Reynolds was clearly never going to get in to a game. In the event Uribe is in pain or, say, something happens to Flores or Johnson, they can always activate Reynolds. However, if Uribe is OK, they get a more useful, more versatile, experienced guy, who can play third base, shortstop and outfield if needed. Uribe also adds a more powerful bat to the bench, which will be extra important because the DH will take up a position player. The bullpen still concerns me, especially since I think it will be used a lot and will then get overexposed later in the series. But, one step at a time…
