Terry Collins addressed reporters, presented by Cadillac

Mets manager Terry Collins talked to media before Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday and said…

MLB has said Game 1 is expected to start on time, though he has no issue if they want to start the game under a light rain.

In the event tonight’s game is delayed by rain, and it impacts Matt Harvey‘s start, Jon Niese or Bartolo Colon would be quickly called upon in relief.

Juan Uribe, who is 100 percent healthy after taking batting practice each of the last three days, is on the roster because he has two World Series rings and the team can benefit from his experience.

In the event Wilmer Flores gets injured, he would move Kelly Johnson to shortstop (not Uribe) and let Jacob deGrom hit, despite having the designated hitter in the American League.
