Mets RHP Matt Harvey has been named the Sporting News NL Comeback Player of the Year (Oct. 26).
In winning the award, which was voted on by the players, Harvey beat Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez by six vote.
In his first season back after undergoing Tommy John surgery, Harvey posted a 2.71 ERA and 1.02 WHIP to go along with 188 strikeouts in 189 1/3 innings during the regular season.
