Terry Collins addressed reporters, presented by Cadillac

Today at Kaufmann Field in Kansas City, Mets manager Terry Collins talked to reporters and said…

Yoenis Cespedes feels great, there is no issue with his shoulder, “I have no concern. He’s gonna hit again today and he’s ready to go.”

The decision on when Matt Harvey comes out of games, and how many starts he makes this postseason, has 100% been up to Harvey, Collins and no one else.

He is going to talk with his coaches and work with the team today on doing a better job of holding opposing runners on base.

Kelly Johnson will be the Designated Hitter in Game 1.

Curtis Granderson jammed his thumb sliding in to a base during NLCS, but he should be fine to play Game 1 on Tuesday.

There is still a chance Juan Uribe is on the team’s World Series roster, which does not need to be set until Tuesday afternoon.

Matthew Cerrone: If I had to bet, I’d say they carry Uribe, even if he’s not 100 percent. It makes more sense to carry him than, say, Matt Reynolds, who has still never played in a big-league game, by the way. Because, if Uribe is in pain or, say, something happens to Wilmer Flores or Johnson, they can always activate Reynolds. However, if Uribe is OK, they get a more useful, more versatile, experienced guy for what’s going to be a series needing all hands on deck…
